On June 2, 2022, our past president Charles Palulis passed away after a courageous battle with cancer over the past few years. To the end Chuck kept his sense of humor. He visited us in the historical society museum and research room almost every week despite constant pain. An avid photographer, Chuck recorded the history of the Mahanoy area for over sixty years. Below you'll find a sample of some of Charles' photos many of which were taken in the 1960s . will add more periodically.
